How New Regulations in EU Could Cause a Rise in Cargo Theft Trends

The new EU mobility package is raising some alarms regarding cargo safety. In this article, Phil Taylor at Security Industry points out some interesting facts and surprising polls by truck drivers, and just how serious the cargo crime situation is in the EU. In the words of SNAP Managing Director, Mark Garner:

“While it is clear that drivers have wide ranging questions and uncertainty over the impact of the EU Mobility Package, having 86 per cent of drivers anticipating a rise in cargo crime should be of serious concern for the entire industry.”

Cargo crime, especially in the parking sites in Europe, is a major headache in the industry. The response that allows to improve drives’ life quality and keep cargo safe is to look at ways to secure the vehicles from external attacks.
