Introduction: high security and smartphone keys for shipping container locks
Our locks are made to withstand attacks and stay fully operation after long periods of inactivity or rough transportation conditions (road, sea, rail).
Why do we call them keyless? Because only a user with an authorized smartphone can open the lock.
But there are many other advantages to benefit from when using Seguratainer locks:
Personalized access
The lock can only be opened by the authorized individual, as the key is personal and traceable. Forget about anonymous openings, keys being borrowed, copied or lost. The smartphone is the key, and each action is registered into the system.
Lock-to-person matching
Each lock is paired with a unique, traceable key, ensuring only the right person can access it. You can also give access to more than one person, each with their smartphone, and each separate access is logged under their name in the system.
Time-based control
Access can be restricted to specific times of the day, adding an extra layer of security. Not even authorized people can access the lock after working hours. If the phone is stollen, criminals would need to access the container during working hours.
Location-specific unlocking
The lock verifies the smartphone location before giving access. You can apply geofencing rules to limit the validity of the key, ensuring access can only be granted when the authorized person is in the correct location. A stolen container taken to a remote location cannot be opened.
Note: the locks are not fitted with GPS, we use the smartphone location. But, a cavity has been designed within the locks (protected inside the lock) to install a GPS system, including the most common industry accepted brands and models.
Person, lock, time and place. If any of those 4 criterias is not met, the lock will not open.
