Have you ever wondered what are the differences between trucks in Europe and in the USA? And where those differences come from?
At Seguratainer, most of our work is focused on the middle and back section of the trucks: the containers or the rigid, closed body frame, where our locks are placed.
Of course, we collaborate in projects where other security solutions are implemented in the cabin: ID-controlled engine start, advanced geo-tracking (which can be embedded into our locks too!).
Here is a short video that provides a clear explanation as to why trucks look so different in Europe as opposed to the USA. Hint: road types, speed limits, legislation and business and life habits are behind some of these differences.
Is there a better type of truck? As with shipping container locks, we prefer to think there is a better type of application where one more will work better than another.
Our job is to ensure nobody accesses your goods until they are delivered. We fight cargo theft with NFC Access Control applied to high security locks. But it’s always nice to learn something new. Enjoy!
