The Ratchet Lock, for containers and trucks
Today we are excited to introduce our latest lock: the Ratchet Lock!
This lock has been designed to fit both containers and trucks: it is manually adjusted at the time of installation, and requires no tools to lock or unlock it.
It has been developped in Seguratainer’s R&D center in South Africa, and tested in that very rough market before its international launch.
As with all other Seguratainer locks, the Ratchet Lock has proven to resist against professionally equipped criminals, and to withstand all weathers and modes of transportation.
This is a portable lock that you can rotate between your containers and trucks.

Remote access and smartphone keys for your locks!
As with all Seguratainer locks, we do not use traditional keys: only an authorised smartphone can open the lock.
You control all locks and keys from your laptop, thanks to our cloudbased management platform (from your browser, no installation required).
The phone uses gsm to sync between the platform and the lock but, at the time of opening, only NFC (Near Field Communication) is needed. This is a data-independent solution, the same secure method used for touchless payments with your cards, smartphones and other smart wearables.
At any time, you can create and delete keys, and also establish time and space rules to define, all in all: who can open the locks, when and where.
And all lock and key actions are logged giving you a 24/7 audit trail.
